Hair extensions do not produce their own oils. Over a period of time, the extensions can dry, becoming brittle and less attractive. One of the main keys to prolonging the lifespan of your extensions is to rehydrate and protect. 
Extensions are porous, keeping moisture in is next to impossible without sealing it in. The best way to trap moisture in your extensions is to use a sealant. The key to preventing dry extensions is to hydrate and seal whilst avoiding the drying effects of products that are not designed to help. Directions for Use: After wetting the hair, apply a small amount of
shampoo. Gently lather, allowing the foam to spread down the body of
your hair and extensions. Do not tug at your extensions. Lather at the
root and allow the foam to cleanse your extensions
