Welcome to our one-day massage course! To ensure a safe, productive, and enjoyable learning environment for all participants, please carefully read and adhere to the following rules and regulations:
1. Arrival and Attendance
Punctuality: Students must arrive at least 15 minutes before the course start time to complete registration and settle in. Late arrivals may disrupt the session and may not be allowed to participate.
Attendance: Full attendance is mandatory. Students are required to stay for the entire duration of the course to receive a certificate of completion.
2. Dress Code
Comfortable Clothing: Students should wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows for easy movement. Avoid wearing heavy makeup, jewellery, or accessories that might interfere with the massage practice.
Hygiene: Personal hygiene is essential. Please ensure you are clean and have trimmed nails to maintain a professional standard and respect for fellow students.
3. Health and Safety
Medical Conditions: Students must disclose any relevant medical conditions or injuries to the instructor before the course begins. This information will be kept confidential and is necessary to ensure safety during practical sessions.
Sanitisation: Hand sanitizers will be provided, and students are required to sanitise their hands before and after each massage practice session.
COVID-19 Protocols: If applicable, adhere to all COVID-19 safety protocols, including wearing masks, maintaining social distancing, and completing any required health declarations.
4. Conduct and Behaviour
Respect: Students are expected to treat instructors, staff, and fellow students with respect and courtesy at all times. Inappropriate behavior, including harassment or discrimination, will not be tolerated and may result in immediate dismissal from the course.
Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor throughout the course. Refrain from disruptive behaviour, including excessive talking, using mobile phones, or engaging in activities not related to the course.
5. Participation and Practice
Active Participation: Students are encouraged to actively participate in all activities, discussions, and practical sessions. This will enhance learning and ensure a comprehensive understanding of the massage techniques taught.
Practice Boundaries: Respect each other's comfort levels and boundaries during practice sessions.
Equipment Use: Handle all equipment, such as massage tables and oils, with care. Report any damage or malfunction to the instructor immediately.
6. Course Materials and Equipment
Course Materials: Any handouts or materials provided during the course are for the personal use of the attending student only. Reproduction or distribution without permission is prohibited.
Personal Belongings: Students are responsible for their personal belongings. The course provider is not liable for any lost or stolen items.
7. Certification and Evaluation
Assessment: Students may be evaluated on their understanding and application of the techniques taught during the course. Active participation and adherence to instructions will be considered in the assessment.
Certification: Certificates of completion will be awarded only to those who attend the full course and demonstrate a basic competency in the skills taught.
8. Refunds and Cancellations
Refund Policy: Please refer to the course provider’s refund policy for details on cancellations and refunds. Typically, refunds are not provided for cancellations made within 3 weeks of the course date unless due to extenuating circumstances.
9. Liability Waiver
Waiver: By attending the course, students acknowledge and accept that the course provider is not responsible for any injuries or accidents that occur during the course. Students must sign a liability waiver prior to participating.
10. Privacy and Confidentiality
Privacy: Any personal information shared during the course will be kept confidential and used only for course-related purposes.
Confidentiality: Respect the privacy of fellow students by not discussing their personal information or health conditions outside the course setting.
By enrolling in this one-day massage course, you agree to abide by these rules and regulations. Failure to comply may result in removal from the course without a refund.
